Packetsandflows.io started as simple plan to be a website for two professionals to post about various technoligies and topics that we work on daily. Technologies and topics range from network engineering to virtualization with both individuals having a combined experience of over 30 years between them. We are by no means an expert in every topic displayed here but we hope by showing individuals the basics, that networking, virtualization and more is can be easily understood and used to solve every day problems. We encourage open dialog on the topics we post here because, although the technology is pretty straightforward, the implementation and use of these technologies vary widely and can be used for different scenarios. Below are short introductions to the sites founders. If you wish to contact them, please use their email addresses listed below.

My name is Troy Perkins and by day I am a Senior Network Engineer and by night, well, still play Network Engineer. I have over sixteen years experience ranging from systems, storage, networking, security, telephony, and software-defined networking. I have been in the Financial/Service Provider realm for the last three years and continue to grow my knowledge. I have several certifications from vendors such as Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks. I hope that my tutorials and posts help those who wish to learn more about various technologies that Network Engineers use every day!
